Old House, New House, Horsies and Donkey, too

For about a year and a half, we were living with another doctor just outside of La Junta. His family lives on a small ranch. Our veterinarian has some horses and a donkey in a corral just up the road from the doctor’s house, and the kids loved to go for walks to see the horses and donkey and give them carrots sometimes. Recently, we moved back to our house on Belleview in La Junta, as the doctor had family moving back in. The kids talk about the “horsies and donkey” often, so we took a bike ride up to visit them the other day.

Being back at our house on Belleview, the kids like to explore and find all the new things in and around the house. Today they spent a lot of time exploring the porch. We have Naomi’s old crib and mattress on the porch, which were borrowed from a friend of ours. The kids decided to take a break and try out the mattress.
